I fancy the graciousness of life. I hope you too! 50 things you need to know about Earvs/ Earvin: 1. I’m currently working as a copywriter in an Advertising agency here in Brunei. IM Graphics Design Studio is the name of the company. 2. I was a graduate student of UP Diliman taking up Masters in Media Studies (Major in Broadcasting) when I left the country to find greener pasture and absorb more professional experiences. If I didn’t accept the overseas job, perhaps I’m teaching at UP CMC. 3. Working abroad taught me to be independent and thrifty. Seriously! 4. I’m a natural born Gemini. I can say that I’m multi-talented? Hahaha 5. Scriptwriting and Directing are some of my passions in life. Performing (Singing) tops the ladder. 6. I used to be an “aliping saguiguilid” of some television networks. 7. I’m schizophrenic. Sometimes I’m uber serious but most of the time, I’m wild and outrageous. You’ll definitely enjoy hanging around with me. Stories are endless and laughter is priceless. 8. I’m a closet activist. I prefer putting my angst on black and white. 9.. A natural born clown and impersonator, I can make the loudest and out-of-this-world “punchlines” you could ever imagine. Don’t dare the bomb! 10.Most of my friends brand me as the life and fire starter of any party, gathering or even a simple sem ender. Is this for real or reel? 11.I have a tiny penchant on arranging, re-arranging, decorating and matching furniture. In fact, that fancy led me to be the ultimate decorator of our house in Lagro. 12. I am self-confessed book lover. My bedroom (in the Philippines) has the look and ambiance of a library where you can catch a plethora of books, magazines, and even videos. 13. My addiction on books has also led me to collect and read various books here in Brunei especially on my free time. Seriously, I’m lovin every inch of the mind-enhancing exercise! 14. Paolo Coehlo is all-time favourite author! 15. A disciple of advertising and popular culture. Sometimes I’m a passive consumer of my mass media, but mostly active and critical in digesting my media diet. 16. I’m a super fan of Ugly Betty. I just love Betty! Go Betty! 17. Arrested Development makes my imagination run wild. 18. A God fearing person. I strongly believe that life without God is depthless. 19. A non-smoker and a social drinker. 20. I used to wear eyeglasses but because of my cousin’s prodding and the mass media’s influential standardization of beauty, I’m now wearing contact lenses. 21. Eugene Domingo is my favourite comediane! She really makes me laugh soooo loud! 22. I dream of studying at University of Leeds. I want to take up a postgraduate study in International Communications. Hopefully, I can fulfill that in 2010 or depends.Since life is full of detours, I'm now bound to take up a postgraduate studies at UP Diliman Open University while working here in Brunei. 23 My family towers my priorities in life. They are my source of inspiration. They inspire me to challenge myself and be the best I could possibly be. 24. I never got into a relationship. In short, I'm single since birth. 25. I used to weigh 180 lbs. Thanks to proper exercise and diet, I now weigh 140 lbs! 26. I have a scoliosis which I handle through stress-busting activities like “concierto” using the magic sing! 27. I’m a very moody person. Sometimes I’m so happy and sometimes I’m extremely sad. However, most of the time,I mix both emotions in one go. Insane? Don’t worry, culturally, I’m perfectly normal. Naturally, I’m schizophrenic. 28. I’m an avid reader of Filipino literary works. Try to check out www.panitikan.com.ph. It’s really a good read. 28. I Interview ala- Boy Abunda, orate like a news anchor, and, casually talk like a street vendor. Impossible? Possible! 29. I have this crazy fantasy of being a talk show celebrity. 30.I’m a certified gossip voice box. I have the juiciest and confirmed intrigues on some of your favorite celebrities in showbizlandia! Well, that’s before I left the kapamilya network. 31. I’m a Harry Potter fan. I have all the instalment. 32. I believe I am a fighter who never lets depression cross my way towards happiness and success. 33. Singing makes me energized. I can sing for three hours straight, alongside with hilarious acts and impersonations. 34. I fantasize of having my own billboard here in Brunei. Let’s see. 35. I wish to teach mass communication and popular culture in the future in the Philippines. 36. Serving the Lord is my greatest achievement. 37. Blogging keeps me sane. 38. I never thought my hosting talent could bring me some bags of fortune in the Abode of Peace. 39. I must admit, I miss television production. However, this does not mean I’m going back to the kapamilya network or I will move to the Kapuso hub. I just love the feeling of missin something but not actually trying it again coz I don’t want to bring back all the horrible memories. 40. I dream of publishing my book. 41. I’m a frustrated DJ. This is the reason why I’m so joyous when the hosting opportunity came into my bruneiyuki life. 42. Sitting in front of a computer for 8 hours bores me. I just have to be thankful I have a job and it pays well. Plus, at least I’m challenged in a creative way. 43. I’m a movie buff. I can kill time by just watching a film the whole day. 44. The book Kite Runner made me see Afganistan in a different perspective. 45. Going overseas made me appreciate more my country and identity as a Filipino. 46. I hope my wit could help me complete the play I’m writing. 47. I’m a Jollibee boy, now and forever! 48. I miss my mom so much. I know she's happy with our dear Lord. 49. I want to have my own family in the future. Someone should inherit my pride and principles in life. Sama mo na ang Pera if meron. 50. I’m blessed and I thank God for it!
